  • We've had a wonderful week staying in your gorgeous bungalow! The dogs in particular have enjoyed being off lead, very safe area for them. Loved the beach walks twice (sometimes 3!) times per day. The Fat Seagull - excellent food & if you venture into Louth - The Greyhound pub - food delicious & staff super friendly!

  • Nice dog decorations & touches. The sky views are lovely from the bungalow. Nice up cycled furniture in the bedrooms & lovely town!

  • Sandy Paws - House is beautiful & has everything you need. The local beach was ideal for our antisocial dog as he could be off lead & not bump into anyone. We'd definitely recommend the sand train in Mablethorpe for those with children. The Fat Seagull in Sandilands was fab for a Sunday lunch!

  • Just back from our holiday at Sandy Paws. Loved it! The bungalow is well equipped, comfy and just as welcoming as Pawprints. Brilliant, quiet location within easy walking distance of the (mostly deserted) beach. No driving. Dogs can be off lead all the way! Only negative thing was we had to come home!

  • We have just returned from a wonderful week at Pawprints . The bungalow is exceptional and has everything you could possibly need , very large rooms and I think Julie has remembered everything. My GSD felt very settled and at home , loads of lovely walks right on your doorstep. We was a little unlucky with the weather however we didn't let that put us off . I cannot recommend this enough to all you dog owners out there book yourself a Pawprints holiday we loved it that much we have booked for June 2018

  • We have previously stayed at Pawprints in Devon, so decided to give Sandy Paws a try. Loved it just as much as Pawprints, if not more! Location wise, it is perfect, very quiet and peaceful and only minutes from the doggy beach. The accommodation is beautifully presented. A lot of thought and hard work has gone into the renovations, from the upcycled furniture to all the little doggy touches! The shower was amazing and we really enjoyed sitting out in the garden, watching our doggies play on the grass! We had extremes of weather during our stay. Over the weekend, it was very hot and Sandy Paws was cool, airy and comfortable. Later in the week a severe weather warning was issued (Rain / gales) so we popped on the heating and we were lovely and warm and toasty! We stayed as a family of 4 and 16 dogs. 3 generations raging from 15 years to 79 years! During our stay, we had a meal at the Sea Breeze restaurant (a MUST!) We also visited Woodthorpe Garden Centre at Alford to see the animatronic dinosaurs and have a go at the Maze / Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary at Huttoft / Farmer Browns Ice cream Parlour / Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary / The smallest cinema in the world!!! Loewen Cinema at Mablethorpe / The Sooty Show and an acdc tribute act at the Embassy theatre in Skegness / Lido paddling pool in Sutton on Sea / Open Garden at Rose Cottage on Church Lane...there really is something for EVERYONE in the area and then it is lovely to come back to Sandy Paws and relax. This is our new favourite place. Wish we could stay more often, but have already booked again for next year!

Local.area is great for walking with some fantastic dog friendly beaches which you can walk for miles. We have truly had a fantastic week , cannot recommend Pawprints enough

  • Wow! A week in December & no rain! Fabulous place & lovely location - have enjoyed many a beach & many a coffee shop! Lovely knowing the dogs are so very welcome - thank you.

  • We had an amazing time at pawprints with our two dogs. The access to the south west coast path is literally a minute walk from the end of the road, northam burrows with a combination of terrain and beach is a 10 min walk or very short drive, and then there's the miles and miles of dog friendly beaches to explore in the local area too!
The cottage itself is huge and spacious, with everything we needed for us and the dogs. The dogs loved having two gardens to explore and play in.
Very comfortable sofas and bed and all the mod cons with sky tv, wifi etc. Lovely and warm even on sub-zero frosty nights.
So many dog friendly cafes and pubs nearby, the dogs loved being able to come everywhere with us.
Thank you for a lovely holiday, we have two very tired dogs now!

  • Lovely chilled week again, views have been great as always - despite storm Angus! Trip to Saunton Sands was fab - windy but dry and mainly deserted - Bert had a great day! Can't wait to be back for New Year!

  • Very much enjoyed the cottage which was made very welcoming by the gifts on our arrival. We have explored many dog friendly beaches and have voted on Instow as our favourite although Woolacombe might have been the choice if the weather had been slightly less inclement. Looking forward to our return visit shortly.

    — E & S Corrick, 17 Sep 2016
  • 3rd time we have stayed in Pawprints Cottage, each time just as enjoyable. We all feel very relaxed and at home here. Everything is provided. A great achievement to keep 2 adults, 3 kids & a dog happy. Love Appledore & Instow beach. Thank you.

  • Relaxing holiday in beautiful dog friendly home from home. Fur-babies loved the doggy biscuit welcome surprise and being left to roam the garden safely. A lovely stay in a lovely bungalow, the kids & dogs loved it. Thank you.

  • Don't want to leave!!! This is how dog friendly accomodation should be done. 2 adults,2 teenagers and 5 dogs are going home relaxed and with a promise that we will return. Appledore is very welcoming with some fantastic eateries. Lots of walks and places to visit in the surrounding area. Just book, you won't be disappointed.

  • Just returned from a fabulous week at Pawprints with our three Jack Russells. You couldnt ask for anything more for a dog friendly holiday. Julie has thought of everything including spare throws, dog towels, bowls and leads in case you forget your own! A very generous welcome baskets awaits you in the spotlessly clean and fresh smelling house. The beds are incredibly comfy and the house is well equipped including nice touches such as hotel style toiletries in the bathroom, wifi, Sky TV, games, books and local information. Both the back and front gardens have been securely dog proofed which makes for a relaxing time. The views from Pawprints are incredible and within a few minutes walk you can be on the beach, out in the dunes or in a pub/cafe overlooking the estuary! Appledore is a very dog friendly village with bowls of water wherever you go and most of the pubs and cafes allowing four legged friends in. The choice of dog friendly beaches within a short drive is endless, however if you don't want to move your car from the beginning to the end of your holiday you really don't need to.
The cost of the rental is very good value particularly considering it sleeps 6, but more so due to the fact that there are no additional charges for dogs however many you take!
It has always been difficult to find a suitable holiday cottage that will take more than three dogs and that truly is dog-friendly. Julie has definitely achieved this and we are already planning our return visit!

  • Just returned from a great week at Pawprints! Lovely home-from-home for our family and our two chocolate Labs. Pawprints is well equipped and full of thoughtful touches. Perfectly located in the quaint town of Appledore, which is beautiful and surrounded by many dog-friendly beaches. We will definitely be returning - thank you Julie
